Easy assembly
A genuine kit designed for simple welding
The 600 × 900 table uses precisely cut parts and various positioning systems, facilitating the placement of the top and base.
Kit versions are delivered with holding clamps and threaded rods. These allow the elements to be pressed together, to maintain the structure during tacking, and to limit movements related to welding.
1
Top positioning
The edges and reinforcements are positioned under the top thanks to the cuts, recesses, and marks provided during design.
2
Holding in place
Clamps and threaded rods allow the different parts to be pressed together and maintain a consistent assembly during tacking.
3
Mounting the 4 legs with templates
The supplied templates fit the square tube to center the upper and lower plates of the four legs before tacking and welding.
4
Progressive welding
The top and base can then be tacked and progressively welded, alternating areas to better control thermal deformations.
Controlled flatness: the mounting system allows the different parts to be clamped before welding and to obtain a regular geometry. The final result also depends on following the tacking order, the distribution of welds, and the control of heat input.
A guided base as well
Templates provided for positioning the plates of the 4 legs
Guided assembly doesn't stop at the top. In the complete table kit to be welded version, specially cut templates are also provided to facilitate the positioning of the plates on the four square tube legs, one at each corner of the table.
These templates match the outer shape of the tube to center the plates, keep them aligned with the leg, and simplify their tacking before welding.
Template for the upper plate
A first template allows positioning and centering the upper plate on the square tube. This plate is then used to bolt the leg under the tabletop.
Centered positioning on the tube
Plate held in alignment
Facilitated tacking
Consistent assembly on all four legs
Template for the lower plate
A second template allows positioning the lower plate, located at the other end of the leg and designed to receive the caster.
Caster plate centering
Alignment with the square tube
Simple tacking before final welding
Cleaner and more homogeneous base
A kit designed for actual assembly: the templates prevent the customer from having to manually measure and mark the centering of each plate on all four legs.
Designed for real workshops
Why choose the Eco Series 600 × 900 mm?
With 0.54 m² of usable surface, it is the most compact format in the entire 4A Metal range. It can be installed anywhere: against a wall, in a corner, on a reinforced workbench, or in a small garage.
Ideal for artisans, experienced DIYers, or small businesses who want a reliable workstation without breaking the bank.
French manufacturing at an unbeatable price
The best value for money in the range, with no compromise on robustness.
Minimal footprint
0.54 m² of usable surface, to fit into the most constrained spaces.
Robust steel structure
6 mm top, 150 mm peripheral edge, and internal reinforcements for exemplary stability.
Kit or welded, as you prefer
Choose the level of preparation adapted to your equipment, your budget, and your available time.
Rigidity is also seen underneath
A top supported by its four corners
The rigidity of the table does not depend solely on the thickness of its top. It also relies on its peripheral edge, internal spacers, and the distribution of its base.
On this compact format, the 600 × 900 mm table rests on four 60 × 60 mm square steel tube legs, one at each corner, which is sufficient to ensure optimal stability without overloading the structure.
6 mm pickled steel top
150 mm peripheral edge
Internal spacers under the work surface
4 legs distributed at the four corners of the table
60 × 60 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick
The source document mentioned "50 or 60 mm, thick" leg tubes and referred to "up to 6 legs depending on configuration," without making a definitive choice. For this compact format, the smallest in the range, 4 legs — one per corner — and a 60×60×3 mm tube are the most consistent solution, as for the 1200 × 1200, 900 × 1200, and 900 × 900 models. To be confirmed with the workshop before publication.

Finish
Raw pickled steel, unpainted
Raw steel may exhibit variations in shade, handling marks, superficial scratches, or natural oxidation initiation. These characteristics are inherent to a raw metal product intended for workshop use.
Clamping system
Ø16 mm holes and 50 mm center distance
The upper surface and peripheral edges are perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, spaced at a regular 50 mm center distance.
This grid allows the use of various clamping accessories and multiplies positioning points across the entire table.
Positioning parts
The regular grid allows stops, squares, and accessories to be placed at different locations on the table.
Holding before welding
Clamps, presses, and Ø16 mm pins hold elements during inspection, tacking, and assembly.
Clamping on side faces
The 150 mm perforated peripheral edge also allows work on all four sides of the table.
Creating repetitive setups
The repetition of holes facilitates the creation of templates, reproducible positions, and small series production.
Rigidity and versatility
A 150 mm peripheral edge
The peripheral edge forms a continuous belt on all four sides of the table. It contributes to the overall rigidity of the top and complements the internal structure.
Its 150 mm height also offers a side surface for clamping parts vertically or directly against the edge of the table.
Enhanced rigidity on all four sides
Clamping possible on the side faces
Positioning of vertical parts
Securing at the edge of the work surface

A table designed and manufactured in France
The 600 × 900 mm welding table is developed and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in Aube.
We master the main stages of its manufacture: file preparation, nesting, laser cutting, bending, adjustment, assembly, welding, and control of the prepared elements.
Precise laser cutting
The different parts are cut on our fiber laser to obtain regular shapes, clean holes, and consistent positioning during assembly.
Pickled steel S235JR
Pickled steel offers a cleaner surface than heavily scaled black steel and facilitates preparation as well as welding operations.
Mastered design
The position of holes, reinforcements, feet, plates, and mounting systems is defined in our own manufacturing files.

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ – 600 × 900 mm Welding Table
What is the difference between the four configurations?
The kit top is delivered in parts to be welded. The welded top is assembled in our workshops, without a stand. The complete kit table includes the top, 4 legs, plates, castors, and screws, but requires welding. The complete welded table is prepared in the workshop and only requires the bolted assembly of the elements provided for this purpose.
What is the total surface area of the top?
The top measures 600 × 900 mm, for a total working surface of 0.54 m², the most compact format in the range.
Is the top really 6 mm thick?
Yes. The top is made of S235JR pickled steel with a thickness of 6 mm.
What is the diameter of the holes?
The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are distributed with a regular spacing of 50 mm.
What clamping accessories can be used?
The table is designed to accommodate accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, squares, presses, pins, and other positioning elements. Check the exact dimensions of the accessories before purchase.
How to properly position the plates on the 4 legs?
The complete kit table is delivered with positioning templates specially cut to fit the square tube of the legs. A first template centers the upper plate, intended to be bolted under the top. A second centers the lower plate, intended to receive the castor.
Why does this table have 4 legs and not 6?
On this compact format of 600 × 900 mm, one leg at each corner is sufficient to ensure good support distribution. Longer models in the range (1800, 2100 or 2400 mm) use 6 legs to compensate for their greater length.
Why a 150 mm edge?
The 150 mm peripheral edge contributes to the rigidity of the structure and also allows parts to be clamped on the side faces.
Can the table be fitted with castors?
Yes. Ø155 mm industrial castors with double brakes are offered depending on the chosen configuration. Given the weight of the table, handling should always be done with caution.
Is the table delivered painted?
No. It is delivered in raw pickled steel. Regular protection and maintenance are recommended to limit the appearance of superficial oxidation.
Where is the table manufactured?
It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in Aube.
Is delivery possible throughout France?
Delivery can be arranged in France and several European countries. Conditions depend on the configuration, weight, volume, and destination address.
