A true kit designed for simple welding

The 900 × 1500 table uses precisely cut parts and various positioning systems facilitating the placement of the top and base.

Kit versions are delivered with holding clamps and threaded rods. These allow the elements to be pressed against each other, maintain the structure during tacking, and limit movement related to welding.

1

Top positioning

The edges and reinforcements are positioned under the top thanks to the cutouts, housings, and marks provided during design.

2

Holding in place

The clamps and threaded rods allow the different parts to be pressed together and maintain a regular assembly during tacking.

3

Assembly of 6 legs with templates

The supplied templates fit the square tube to center the upper and lower plates of the six legs before tacking and welding.

4

Progressive welding

The top and base can then be tacked and progressively welded, alternating areas to better control thermal deformations.

Controlled flatness: the assembly system allows the different parts to be pressed together before welding and to obtain a regular geometry. The final result also depends on following the tacking order, the distribution of welds, and the control of heat input.

A guided base as well

Templates supplied to position the plates of the 6 legs

Guided assembly does not stop at the top. In the complete table as a weld-it-yourself kit version, specially cut templates are also provided to facilitate the positioning of the plates on the six square tube legs.

These templates match the outer shape of the tube to center the plates, hold them in line with the leg, and simplify their tacking before welding.

Template for the upper plate

A first template allows positioning and centering the upper plate on the square tube. This plate is then used to bolt the leg under the table top.

  • Centered positioning on the tube
  • Holding the plate in alignment
  • Simplified tacking
  • Regular assembly on all six legs

Template for the lower plate

A second template allows positioning the lower plate, located at the other end of the leg and intended to receive the caster.

  • Centering of the plate for the caster
  • Alignment with the square tube
  • Simple tacking before final welding
  • Cleaner and more homogeneous base

A kit designed to be truly assembled: the templates save the customer from having to manually measure and mark the centering of each plate on all six legs.

Designed for real workshops

Why choose a 900 × 1500 mm table?

With its 900 × 1500 mm format, this table offers excellent rigidity while providing sufficient length for most assembly, welding, and maintenance work.

Ideal for craftsmen, welders, blacksmiths, and maintenance workshops, it guarantees comfortable, precise, and durable work.

1500 mm useful length

A comfortable base for welding, tacking, and assembling common metal structures.

900 mm width

A width that facilitates access to parts without greatly increasing the floor space required.

A balanced format

A comfortable compromise between work surface and footprint, suitable for daily use.

Versatility and robustness

Suitable for both assembly work and repairs and maintenance.

Rigidity is also visible underneath

A top supported over its entire surface

The rigidity of the table does not depend solely on the thickness of its top. It also relies on its peripheral edge, internal cross-braces, and the distribution of its base.

The 900 × 1500 mm table rests on six 60 × 60 mm square steel tube legs, distributed under the structure to support the top and improve the overall stability.

  • 6 mm pickled steel top
  • 150 mm peripheral edge
  • Internal cross-braces under the work surface
  • 6 legs distributed under the table
  • 60 × 60 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick

Finish Raw pickled steel, unpainted

Raw steel may exhibit differences in shade, handling marks, superficial marks, or natural oxidation initiation. These characteristics are inherent to a raw metal product intended for workshop use.

Clamping system

Ø16 mm holes and 50 mm center distance

The top surface and peripheral edges are perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, distributed at a regular 50 mm center distance.

This grid allows the use of various clamping accessories and multiplies positioning points across the entire table.

Positioning parts

The regular grid allows stops, squares, and accessories to be placed at different locations on the table.

Holding before welding

Clamps, presses, and Ø16 mm pins allow elements to be held during inspection, tacking, and assembly.

Clamping on the side faces

The 150 mm perforated peripheral edge also allows working on all four sides of the table.

Creating repetitive assemblies

The repetition of holes facilitates the creation of templates, repeatable positions, and small series.

Rigidity and versatility

A 150 mm peripheral edge

The peripheral edge forms a continuous belt on all four sides of the table. It contributes to the overall rigidity of the top and complements the internal structure.

Its 150 mm height also offers a lateral surface allowing parts to be clamped vertically or directly against the edge of the table.

  • Reinforced rigidity on all four sides
  • Possible clamping on the side faces
  • Positioning of vertical parts
  • Holding at the edge of the work surface
  • Design adapted for intensive use

From file to finished product

A table designed and manufactured in France

The 900 × 1500 mm welding table is developed and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, Aube.

We control the main stages of its manufacture: file preparation, nesting, laser cutting, adjustment, assembly, welding, and inspection of the prepared components.

Precise laser cutting

The different parts are cut with our fiber laser to obtain regular shapes, clean holes, and consistent positioning during assembly.

Pickled Steel S235JR

Pickled steel offers a cleaner surface than heavily scaled black steel, facilitating preparation and welding operations.

Controlled design

The position of the holes, reinforcements, legs, plates, and mounting systems is defined in our own manufacturing files.

Direct workshop sales

You buy your table directly from the French company that designs, cuts, and manufactures it.

Raw steel

Protection and maintenance of your table

The table is delivered in raw pickled steel. Like any unpainted steel, it can naturally oxidize upon contact with humidity, condensation, or water splashes.

To maintain a clean work surface, we recommend storing the table in a dry place, cleaning it regularly, and applying protection compatible with welding work.

  • Avoid outdoor storage
  • Wipe away water and liquids quickly
  • Regularly remove welding spatter
  • Keep holes clean to facilitate clamping
  • Apply suitable anti-corrosion protection
Frequently asked questions

FAQ – 900 × 1500 mm Welding Table

What is the difference between the four configurations?

The kit top is delivered as parts to be welded. The welded top is assembled in our workshops, without a stand. The complete kit table includes the top, 6 legs, plates, castors, and screws, but requires welding. The complete welded table is prepared in the workshop and only requires the bolted assembly of the elements provided for this purpose.

What is the total surface area of the top?

The top measures 900 × 1500 mm, for a total working surface of 1.35 m².

Is the top really 6 mm thick?

Yes. The top is made of 6 mm thick S235JR pickled steel.

What is the diameter of the holes?

The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are spaced at a regular pitch of 50 mm.

What clamping accessories can be used?

The table is designed to accommodate accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, squares, presses, pins, and other positioning elements. Check the exact dimensions of the accessories before purchasing.

How to properly position the plates on the 6 legs?

The complete kit table comes with positioning templates specially cut to fit the square tube of the legs. A first template centers the upper plate, intended to be bolted under the top. A second centers the lower plate, intended to receive the castor.

Why a 150 mm rim?

The 150 mm peripheral rim contributes to the rigidity of the structure and also allows parts to be clamped on the side faces.

Can the table be equipped with castors?

Yes. Ø155 mm industrial castors with double brakes are offered depending on the chosen configuration. Given the weight of the table, handling must always be done with caution.

Is the table delivered painted?

No. It is delivered in raw pickled steel. Regular protection and maintenance are recommended to limit the appearance of superficial oxidation.

Where is the table manufactured?

It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region.

Is delivery possible throughout France?

Delivery can be arranged in France and several European countries. Conditions depend on the configuration, weight, volume, and destination address.
