Easy assembly
A true kit designed for simple welding
The 600 × 1200 table uses precisely cut parts and various positioning systems that facilitate the placement of the top and base.
Kit versions are delivered with holding clamps and threaded rods. These allow the elements to be pressed against each other, maintain the structure during tacking, and limit movement related to welding.
1
Top positioning
The edges and reinforcements are positioned under the top thanks to the cuts, slots, and marks provided during design.
2
Holding in place
Clamps and threaded rods allow the various parts to be pressed together and maintain a consistent assembly during tacking.
3
Assembly of the 4 legs with templates
The provided templates fit the square tube to center the upper and lower plates of the four legs before tacking and welding them.
4
Progressive welding
The top and base can then be tacked and progressively welded, alternating zones to better control thermal deformations.
Controlled flatness: the assembly system allows the various parts to be clamped before welding to achieve a regular geometry. The final result also depends on respecting the tacking order, the distribution of welds, and the control of heat input.
Also a guided base
Templates provided to position the plates of the 4 legs
Guided assembly doesn't stop at the top. In the complete table as a welding kit version, specially cut templates are also provided to facilitate the positioning of the plates on the four square tube legs, one at each corner of the table.
These templates match the outer shape of the tube to center the plates, keep them aligned with the leg, and simplify their tacking before welding.
Template for the upper plate
A first template allows positioning and centering the upper plate on the square tube. This plate is then used to bolt the leg under the table top.
Centered positioning on the tube
Plate alignment in the axis
Simplified tacking
Consistent assembly on all four legs
Template for the lower plate
A second template allows positioning the lower plate, located at the other end of the leg and intended to receive the caster.
Caster plate centering
Alignment with the square tube
Simple tacking before final welding
Cleaner and more uniform base
A kit designed to be truly assembled: the templates prevent the customer from having to manually measure and mark the centering of each plate on all four legs.
Designed for real workshops
Why choose the Eco Series 600 × 1200 mm?
With 0.72 m² of usable surface, this table combines a reduced footprint and sufficient working length for most common parts. Its compact format makes it particularly suitable for small workshops, garages, and confined spaces.
Ideal for demanding craftsmen, independent welders, and DIY enthusiasts who want a reliable workbench without overpaying.
French manufacturing at a fair price
A quality-price ratio designed for workshops that want a reliable table without unnecessary extra cost.
Minimal footprint
0.72 m² of usable surface, in a format that fits against a wall or in a workshop corner.
Robust steel structure
6 mm top, 150 mm peripheral edge, and internal reinforcements for exemplary stability.
Kit or welded, as you prefer
Choose the level of preparation that suits your equipment, budget, and available time.
Rigidity is also visible underneath
A top supported by its four corners
The rigidity of the table does not depend solely on the thickness of its top. It also relies on its peripheral edge, internal spacers, and the distribution of its base.
On this compact format, the 600 × 1200 mm table rests on four 60 × 60 mm square steel tube legs, one at each corner, which is sufficient to ensure optimal stability without overloading the structure.
6 mm pickled steel top
150 mm peripheral edge
Internal spacers under the work surface
4 legs distributed at the four corners of the table
60 × 60 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick
The source document mentioned "50 or 60 mm, 2 to 3 mm thick" leg tubing and alluded to "up to 6 legs depending on configuration," without specifying. For this compact format (maximum 1200 mm long), 4 legs – one at each corner – and a 60×60×3 mm tube are the most consistent solution, as for the 1200 × 1200 and 900 × 1200 models. To be confirmed with the workshop before publication.

Finish
Raw pickled steel, unpainted
Raw steel may exhibit color variations, handling marks, superficial marks, or natural oxidation beginnings. These characteristics are inherent to a raw metal product intended for workshop use.
Clamping system
Ø16 mm holes and 50 mm center distance
The upper surface and peripheral edges are perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, distributed at a regular center distance of 50 mm.
This network allows the use of various clamping accessories and multiplies the positioning points across the entire table.
Positioning parts
The regular grid allows placing stops, squares, and accessories at different locations on the table.
Holding before welding
Clamps, presses, and Ø16 mm pins allow holding elements during inspection, tacking, and assembly.
Clamping on the side faces
The 150 mm perforated peripheral edge also allows working on all four sides of the table.
Creating repetitive setups
The repetition of holes facilitates the creation of templates, reproducible positions, and small series.
Rigidity and versatility
A 150 mm peripheral edge
The peripheral lip forms a continuous band on all four sides of the table. It contributes to the overall rigidity of the top and complements the internal structure.
Its 150 mm height also provides a side surface for clamping parts vertically or directly against the edge of the table.
Enhanced rigidity on all four sides
Clamping possible on side faces

Frequently asked questions
FAQ – 600 × 1200 mm Welding Table
What is the difference between the four configurations?
The tabletop kit is delivered in parts to be welded. The welded tabletop is assembled in our workshops, without legs. The complete table kit includes the tabletop, 4 legs, plates, castors, and screws, but requires welding. The complete welded table is prepared in the workshop and only requires the bolted assembly of the elements provided for this purpose.
What is the total surface area of the tabletop?
The tabletop measures 600 × 1200 mm, for a total work surface of 0.72 m².
Is the tabletop really 6 mm thick?
Yes. The tabletop is made of 6 mm thick S235JR pickled steel.
What is the diameter of the holes?
The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are distributed at a regular pitch of 50 mm.
What clamping accessories can be used?
The table is designed to receive accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, squares, presses, pins, and other positioning elements. Check the exact dimensions of the accessories before purchase.
How to correctly position the plates on the 4 legs?
The complete table kit is delivered with positioning templates specially cut to fit the square tube of the legs. A first template centers the upper plate, intended to be bolted under the tabletop. A second centers the lower plate, intended to receive the castor.
Why does this table have 4 legs and not 6?
On a compact 600 × 1200 mm format, one leg at each corner is sufficient to ensure good support distribution. Longer models in the range (1800, 2100 or 2400 mm) use 6 legs to compensate for their greater length.
Why a 150 mm lip?
The 150 mm peripheral lip contributes to the rigidity of the structure and also allows parts to be clamped on the side faces.
Can the table be fitted with castors?
Yes. Ø155 mm industrial castors with double brake are offered depending on the chosen configuration. Given the weight of the table, handling must always be done with caution.
Is the table delivered painted?
No. It is delivered in raw pickled steel. Regular protection and maintenance are recommended to limit the appearance of superficial oxidation.
Where is the table manufactured?
It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in Aube.
Is delivery possible throughout France?
Delivery can be arranged in France and several European countries. Conditions depend on the configuration, weight, volume, and destination address.
