Why choose a 600 × 600 mm welding table?

Not all fabrications require a top several meters long. For small parts, occasional assemblies, maintenance work, or workshops with limited space, a compact format can be more practical for everyday use.

Easy to integrate

With a reduced footprint, the table easily fits into a garage, small workshop, or near an existing welding station.

Surface suitable for small parts

The square top is perfect for frames, supports, brackets, small structures, mechanical parts, and repetitive tasks.

Secondary station

It can complement a large table and become a dedicated station for tacking, preparation, inspection, or a specific operation.

Easier mobility

Its more compact format allows it to be moved more easily around the workshop, especially when equipped with casters.

Manufacturing Design, cutting, and manufacturing in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region
Finish Raw pickled steel, unpainted

Raw steel may show color variations, handling marks, superficial scratches, or natural signs of oxidation. These elements are inherent to a raw metal product intended for workshop use.

Clamping system

Ø16 mm holes and regular 50 mm spacing

The top is perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, arranged with a 50 mm spacing. This grid allows different clamping accessories to be positioned and parts to be held during assembly.

Hold parts in place

Use clamps, stops, pins, presses, or squares compatible with Ø16 mm clamping systems.

Create regular angles

The grid on the top facilitates the positioning of parts and the creation of 90° assemblies, frames, and small chassis.

Work on the sides

The perforated peripheral edge of 150 mm also allows parts to be positioned and clamped on the side faces.

Repeat an assembly

The regularly spaced holes make it easier to find a position for small series and repetitive assemblies.

Rigidity and lateral clamping

A 150 mm peripheral edge

The peripheral edge directly contributes to the rigidity of the top. Its height of 150 mm forms a real belt on all four sides of the table.

It also allows working in ways other than just on the top surface: a part can be positioned against the edge, held vertically, or clamped on a side face.

  • Enhanced rigidity of the top
  • Clamping possible on all four sides
  • Vertical positioning of certain parts
  • Greater versatility despite the compact format
  • Design suitable for regular workshop use

A table designed and manufactured in France

The 600 × 600 mm welding table is developed and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region.

We control the main steps necessary for its manufacture: file preparation, nesting, laser cutting, adjustment, welding, and preparation of the different configurations.

Precise laser cutting

The parts are cut on our fiber laser to obtain regular shapes, clean perforations, and consistent assembly.

S235JR pickled steel

Pickled steel has a cleaner surface than heavily scaled black steel and facilitates preparation and welding operations.

Controlled manufacturing

The geometry of the top, the perforations, and the different elements are defined in our own manufacturing files.

Direct workshop sales

You buy directly from the French company that designs, cuts, and manufactures your table.

Real manufacturing and use

We present our tables as they are actually manufactured and used: design, cutting, assembly, welding, and workshop work.

Raw steel

Protection and maintenance of your table

The table is delivered in raw pickled steel. Like all unpainted steel, it can naturally oxidize upon contact with humidity, condensation, or water.

To maintain a clean work surface, we recommend storing the table in a dry place and regularly applying protection compatible with welding work.

  • Avoid outdoor storage
  • Quickly wipe up any liquids on the top
  • Regularly remove welding spatter
  • Keep holes clean to facilitate clamping
  • Use suitable anti-corrosion protection
Frequently asked questions

FAQ – 600 × 600 mm Welding Table

Who is the 600 × 600 mm welding table for?

It is suitable for artisans, small businesses, maintenance workshops, training centers, and equipped individuals who want a true clamping surface in a compact format.

Is the top really 6 mm thick?

Yes. The top is made of 6 mm thick pickled S235JR steel.

What is the diameter of the holes?

The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are spaced at a regular pitch of 50 mm.

Can Ø16 mm clamping accessories be used?

Yes. The table is designed to accommodate various accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, pins, squares, and presses. Always check the exact dimensions of each accessory before purchasing.

Why is the rim 150 mm?

The 150 mm peripheral rim reinforces the top and allows clamping accessories to be used on the side faces of the table.

Can the table be used without casters?

Yes. The exact configuration of the base and casters depends on the option selected at the time of order.

Is the table kit difficult to weld?

The compact format facilitates the handling of parts. However, a basic understanding of welding and tacking is still necessary to limit thermal deformation and achieve a uniform assembly.

How to limit deformation during welding?

It is recommended to work on a stable surface, secure the parts, perform distributed tacking, and alternate welding areas rather than welding one side completely at once.

Is the table delivered painted?

No. The table is delivered in raw pickled steel. It must be maintained and protected against humidity to limit the appearance of superficial oxidation.

Can it be used as a secondary table?

Yes. Its 600 × 600 mm format makes it an excellent secondary table for tacking, small parts, repetitive work, or a dedicated operation in a larger workshop.

Where is this table made?

It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in Aube, France.

Why choose a square format of 600 × 600 mm?

The square format offers a balanced surface for small parts while significantly limiting bulk. It is particularly suitable for small workshops and individual workstations.
