Steel plancha for Rocket Stove Magma 13×13 – Weld-it-yourself kit
The official plancha for the Rocket Stove Magma 13×13, offered as a weld-it-yourself kit by 4A Métal.
This plancha turns your Rocket Stove Magma 13×13 into a genuine wood-fired kitchen. Meats, vegetables, fish, eggs, pancakes, or smash burgers: enjoy direct cooking on a carbon steel plate developed specifically for the Magma.
In this kit version, the cooking plate is already bent and ready to use. The stand is supplied as laser-cut pieces, to be assembled by tacking and then welding before attaching the plancha.
⚠️ Compatibility — Magma 13×13 only
This plancha and its stand are sized for the standard Rocket Stove Magma (13×13). They are not compatible with the Magma Compact 9×9 (90 × 90 mm firebox section), as the smaller firebox cannot accommodate this stand.

Assembly
The stand is designed for easy assembly. The parts are laser-cut with precision to facilitate tacking before welding. Once the stand is finished, the plancha is fixed onto it.

Why a carbon steel plancha?
Carbon steel is the benchmark material for wood-fired planchas. It heats up quickly, offers excellent heat distribution, and naturally develops a patina (seasoning) that improves its non-stick properties over time.
With its 3 mm thickness, this plancha offers an excellent compromise between heat-up time, robustness, and ease of use for wood-fired cooking.
Made in our workshop
The components of this plancha are laser-cut and then bent in our workshop in Romilly-sur-Seine (Aube). Each kit is checked before shipment to ensure precise assembly and consistent quality.
Compatibility
This plancha is exclusively compatible with the Rocket Stove Magma 13×13 developed by Ülfi, whether purchased as a weld-it-yourself kit from 4A Métal or as an fully assembled version from Ülfi. It is not suitable for the Magma Compact 9×9, as the smaller firebox cannot accommodate this stand.

Does this plancha fit the Magma 9×9?
No. This plancha and its stand are sized for the Magma 13×13. They do not fit the Magma Compact 9×9 (90×90mm firebox).
Is the plancha already bent?
Yes. Only the stand needs to be assembled and welded.
Do I need a specific welding machine?
A MIG/MAG or TIG welder capable of welding 3 mm steel is perfectly suitable.
Is it compatible with another Rocket Stove?
No. This plancha is designed exclusively for the Rocket Stove Ülfi Magma 13×13.
Is it available already assembled?
Yes. If you prefer an accessory that is ready to use, the fully assembled version is available directly from Ülfi.
Can I paint the stand?
This is not recommended due to the high temperature the product is subjected to.
