4A Métal Welding Table – 600 × 2100 mm Series

The visuals show a 600 mm deep table. The delivered product depends on the selected configuration.

🇫🇷 Made in France 🦾 6 mm S235JR Pickled Steel 🔩 Ø16 mm Holes 📏 50 mm Spacing 📐 150 mm Edge 🛠️ 4 configurations

A long and compact welding table, positioned at the entry-level, designed for professionals who need a long working length while maintaining a reduced width.

The 600 × 2100 mm 4A Métal welding table offers a work surface of 1.26 m² distributed over 2.1 meters in length. Its 6 mm S235JR pickled steel top, its 150 mm peripheral edge, and its Ø16 mm grid with 50 mm spacing offer the same clamping precision as our wider models, in a more accessible format.

Manufactured in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region, it is available as a top only or as a complete table, in a weld-it-yourself kit or already welded in our workshops.

The length/price compromise of the range.
With its 2.1 meters in length and only 0.6 meters in width, this table targets long assemblies and heavy clamping while limiting the material used — and thus the price — without changing the steel thickness or clamping system.

A real kit designed to be welded simply, even on a long and narrow format

On a 2.1-meter long top that is only 0.6 meters wide, assembly rigor is essential. The 600 × 2100 table uses precisely cut parts and different positioning systems to facilitate the placement of the top and base.

Kit versions are delivered with holding clamps and threaded rods. These allow the elements to be pressed against each other, maintain the structure during tacking, and limit movement due to welding.

1

Top positioning

The edges and reinforcements are positioned under the top thanks to the cutouts, recesses, and marks provided during design.

2

Holding in place

Clamps and threaded rods allow the different parts to be pressed together and maintain a consistent assembly along the entire length during tacking.

3

Assembly of the 6 legs with templates

The supplied templates fit the square tube to center the upper and lower plates of the six legs before tacking and welding them.

4

Progressive welding

The top and base can then be tacked and progressively welded, alternating zones along the length to better control thermal deformations.

Controlled flatness: the assembly system allows the different parts to be pressed together before welding and to obtain a regular geometry. On a long and narrow format, the final result particularly depends on respecting the tacking order and the distribution of welds along the entire length.

A guided base as well

Templates provided for positioning the 6 leg plates

Guided assembly doesn't stop at the top. In the complete table as a weld-it-yourself kit version, specially cut templates are also provided to facilitate the positioning of the plates on the six square tube legs.

These templates match the outer shape of the tube to center the plates, hold them in the axis of the leg, and simplify their tacking before welding — a valuable guide for reproducing the same assembly six times identically over the 2100 mm length.

Template for the upper plate

A first template allows positioning and centering the upper plate on the square tube. This plate is then used to bolt the leg under the table top.

  • Centered positioning on the tube
  • Holding the plate in alignment
  • Simplified tacking
  • Consistent assembly on all six legs

Template for the lower plate

A second template allows positioning the lower plate, located at the other end of the leg and intended to receive the castor.

  • Centering of the plate for the castor
  • Alignment with the square tube
  • Simple tacking before final welding
  • Cleaner and more homogeneous base

A kit designed to be truly assembled: the templates save the customer from having to manually measure and mark the centering of each plate on all six legs.

Designed for real workshops

Why choose the 600 × 2100 mm Series?

Thanks to its 2.1-meter length and reinforced structure, this table can handle structural welding, long assemblies, mounting, and heavy clamping without faltering. The 150 mm peripheral edge limits any risk of torsion, even under high loads.

It features the same 6 mm top, the same 150 mm edge, and the same Ø16 mm grid as the rest of the range — only the width changes, for a more accessible price.

2100 mm usable length

A comfortable base for long assemblies, structural welding, and heavy clamping.

Compact 600 mm width

A width that reduces floor space and material quantity, thus the price, without reducing the top thickness.

Same level of equipment

6 mm steel, 150 mm edge, Ø16 mm grid with 50 mm spacing: no compromise on structural characteristics.

A workstation dedicated to demanding workshops

Suitable for ironworkers, metalworkers, welding workshops, and training centers.

Rigidity is also visible underneath

A top supported along its entire length

A table 2100 mm long and only 600 mm wide must be designed as a complete unit: on this elongated format, rigidity heavily depends on the peripheral edge, internal reinforcements, and the distribution of the base.

The 600 × 2100 mm table rests on six 60 × 60 mm square steel tube legs, distributed along the length to support the structure and improve the overall stability of the assembly.

  • 6 mm pickled steel top
  • 150 mm peripheral edge
  • Longitudinal and transverse braces and reinforcements under the work surface
  • 6 legs distributed along the 2100 mm length
  • 60 × 60 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick

Exact number of longitudinal and transverse reinforcements to be confirmed before publication — same remark as on previous datasheets.

Clamping system

Ø16 mm holes and 50 mm spacing

The top surface and peripheral edges are perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, distributed with a regular 50 mm spacing.

This network allows the use of various clamping accessories and multiplies the positioning points along the entire length of the table.

Positioning long parts

The regular grid allows stops, squares, and accessories to be placed at different locations along the 2100 mm length.

Holding before welding

Clamps, presses, and Ø16 mm pins allow elements to be held during inspection, tacking, and assembly.

Clamping on the side faces

The 150 mm perforated peripheral edge also allows working on all four sides of the table.

Creating repetitive setups

The repetition of holes facilitates the creation of templates, reproducible positions, and small series.

Rigidity and versatility

A 150 mm peripheral edge

The peripheral edge forms a continuous belt on all four sides of the table. It contributes to the overall rigidity of the top and completes the internal structure—a particularly important point on such a long and narrow format.

Its 150 mm height also provides a side surface for clamping parts vertically or directly against the edge of the table.

  • Enhanced rigidity on all four sides
  • Clamping possible on the side faces
  • Positioning of vertical parts
  • Holding at the edge of the work surface
  • Design adapted for long parts

Protection and maintenance of your table

The table is delivered in raw pickled steel. Like any unpainted steel, it can naturally oxidize on contact with humidity, condensation, or water splashes.

To maintain a clean work surface, we recommend storing the table in a dry place, cleaning it regularly, and applying a protection compatible with welding work.

  • Avoid outdoor storage
  • Wipe away water and liquids quickly
  • Regularly remove welding spatter
  • Keep holes clean to facilitate clamping
  • Apply suitable anticorrosion protection
Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ – 600 × 2100 mm Welding Table

What is the difference between the four configurations?

The kit top is delivered in parts to be welded. The welded top is assembled in our workshops, without a base. The complete table kit includes the top, 6 legs, plates, casters, and hardware, but requires welding. The complete welded table is prepared in the workshop and only requires the bolted assembly of the elements provided for this purpose.

Why is this table more affordable than other models?

Its reduced width (600 mm instead of 900 or 1200 mm) requires less material and takes up less floor space, which allows for a more accessible price. The thickness of the top, the edge, and the clamping system remain identical to the rest of the range.

What is the total surface area of the top?

The top measures 600 × 2100 mm, for a total working surface area of 1.26 m².

Is the top really 6 mm thick?

Yes. The top is made of 6 mm thick pickled S235JR steel, identical to other models in the range.

What is the diameter of the holes?

The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are spaced at regular intervals of 50 mm.

What clamping accessories can be used?

The table is designed to accommodate accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, squares, presses, pins, and other positioning elements. Check the exact dimensions of the accessories before purchase.

How to properly position the plates on the 6 legs?

The complete table kit comes with positioning templates specially cut to fit the square tube of the legs. A first template centers the upper plate, intended to be bolted under the top. A second centers the lower plate, intended to receive the caster.

Why does the table have six legs on such a narrow top?

On such a long format (2100 mm), six legs allow for better distribution of support along the entire length and limit the flexion of the top, despite a reduced width of 600 mm.

Can the table be equipped with casters?

Yes. Industrial Ø155 mm casters with double brakes are offered depending on the chosen configuration. Given the length and weight of the table, handling must always be done by several people and with caution.

Is the table delivered painted?

No. It is delivered in raw pickled steel. Regular protection and maintenance are recommended to limit the appearance of superficial oxidation.

Where is the table manufactured?

It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region.

Is delivery possible throughout France?

Delivery can be arranged in France and several European countries. Conditions depend on the configuration, weight, volume, and destination address. Given the length of the package (2100 mm), check access constraints at your delivery address.
