4A Métal Welding Table – 900 × 2400 mm
Visuals show a 900mm deep table. The delivered product depends on the selected configuration.
🇫🇷 Made in France🦾 S235JR 6mm Pickled Steel🔩 Ø16 mm Holes📏 50 mm Center Distance📐 150 mm Rim🛠️ 4 Configurations
A professional welding table designed for long and demanding tasks: chassis, frames, gates, tubular structures, and welded assemblies.
The 4A Métal 900 × 2400 mm welding table offers a work surface of 2.16 m² spread over a long length, ideal for parts that quickly exceed the capabilities of a classic workbench without requiring significant width. Its 6 mm pickled S235JR steel top, its 150 mm peripheral rim, and its Ø16 mm grid with a 50 mm center distance provide excellent positioning precision.
Manufactured in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in the Aube region, it is available as a top only or as a complete table, in a kit to be welded or already welded in our workshops.
A format designed for length. With its 2.4 meters in length and 0.9 meter in width, this table is particularly suitable for long and thin parts: tubes, profiles, elongated frames, railings, and linear structures.

Facilitated assembly
A true kit designed for simple welding, even on a long format
On a top 2.4 meters long and only 0.9 meter wide, positioning the parts before welding requires rigor: the longer and narrower the assembly, the more deviations can accumulate. This is why the 900 × 2400 table uses precisely cut parts and various positioning systems that facilitate the placement of the top and base.
Kit versions are supplied with holding clamps and threaded rods. They allow elements to be clamped against each other, the structure to be held during tack welding, and movements related to welding to be limited.
1
Top positioning
The rims and reinforcements are positioned under the top thanks to the cuts, housings, and markings provided during design.
2
Clamping in place
Clamps and threaded rods allow the various parts to be pressed together and maintain a consistent assembly along the entire length during tack welding.
3
Assembly of 6 legs with templates
The supplied templates fit the square tube to center the upper and lower plates of the six legs before tack welding and final welding.
4
Progressive welding
The top and base can then be tack welded and then progressively welded, alternating zones along the length to better control thermal deformations.
Controlled flatness: the assembly system allows the various parts to be pressed together before welding and to obtain a regular geometry. On a long and narrow format, the final result also depends on respecting the tack welding order, the distribution of welds along the entire length, and controlling heat input.
A guided base as well
Templates supplied for positioning the plates of the 6 legs
Guided assembly doesn't stop at the top. In the complete table as a welding kit version, specially cut templates are also supplied to facilitate the positioning of the plates on the six square tube legs.
These templates match the outer shape of the tube to center the plates, keep them aligned with the leg, and simplify their tack welding before final welding — a valuable reference for reproducing the same assembly six times identically over the 2400 mm length.
Template for the upper plate
A first template allows positioning and centering the upper plate on the square tube. This plate is then used to bolt the leg under the table top.
Centered positioning on the tube
Plate alignment with the axis
Easier tack welding
Regular assembly on all six legs
Template for the lower plate
A second template allows positioning the lower plate, located at the other end of the leg and intended to receive the castor.
Centering of the castor plate
Alignment with the square tube
Simple tack welding before final welding
Cleaner and more homogeneous base
A kit designed to be truly assembled: the templates save the customer from having to manually measure and mark the centering of each plate on all six legs distributed under the 2400 mm length.
A format designed for length
Why choose a 900 × 2400 mm welding table?
Some jobs do not require great width, but great length: tubes, profiles, elongated frames, railings, handrails, and linear structures. The 900 × 2400 mm format precisely meets this need without occupying the floor space of a very wide table.
It allows for limiting overhangs, multiplying clamping points along the length, and keeping more parts directly on the work surface.
Useful length of 2400 mm
The 2.4 meters of length provide a suitable base for long and thin parts requiring several successive holding points.
Compact width of 900 mm
A controlled width that limits floor space while remaining sufficient for most common assemblies.
Fewer repositionings
The available length allows more elements to be kept on the table during adjustment, tack welding, and inspection.
A dedicated workstation for long parts
This table can become the reference workstation for tubes, profiles, and linear structures in a workshop.
Rigidity is also underneath
A top supported along its entire length
A table 2400 mm long and only 900 mm wide must be designed as a complete unit: on an elongated and narrow format, rigidity strongly depends on the peripheral rim, internal reinforcements, and leg distribution.
The 900 × 2400 mm table rests on six 60 × 60 mm square steel tube legs, distributed along the length to support the structure and improve the overall stability of the assembly.
6 mm pickled steel top
150 mm peripheral rim
Longitudinal and transversal spacers and reinforcements under the work surface
6 legs distributed under the 2400 mm length
60 × 60 mm square steel tube, 3 mm thick
Exact number of longitudinal and transversal reinforcements to be confirmed before publication — same remark as on previous datasheets.

Finish
Raw pickled steel, unpainted
Raw steel may show differences in shade, handling marks, superficial marks, or natural oxidation beginnings. These characteristics are inherent to a raw metal product intended for workshop use.
Clamping system
Ø16 mm holes and 50 mm center distance
The upper surface and peripheral rims are perforated with 16 mm diameter holes, distributed with a regular 50 mm center distance.
This network allows the use of various clamping accessories and multiplies positioning points along the entire length of the table.
Position long parts
The regular grid allows stops, squares, and accessories to be placed at different locations along the 2400 mm length.
Hold before welding
Ø16 mm clamps, presses, and pins hold elements during inspection, tack welding, and assembly.
Clamp on side faces
The 150 mm perforated peripheral rim also allows working on all four sides of the table.
Create repetitive assemblies
The repetition of holes facilitates the creation of templates, reproducible positions, and small batches.
Rigidity and Versatility
A 150 mm Peripheral Edge
The peripheral edge forms a continuous belt on all four sides of the table. It contributes to the overall rigidity of the top and complements the internal structure — a particularly important point on a long and relatively narrow format.
Its 150 mm height also provides a lateral surface for clamping parts vertically or directly against the edge of the table.
Enhanced rigidity on all four sides
Clamping possible on the lateral faces
Positioning of vertical parts
Holding at the edge of the work surface
Design adapted for long parts
Designed for Long Workpieces

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ – 900 × 2400 mm Welding Table
What is the difference between the four configurations?
The kit top is delivered in parts to be welded. The welded top is assembled in our workshops, without a frame. The complete table kit includes the top, 6 legs, plates, casters, and hardware, but requires welding. The complete welded table is prepared in the workshop and only requires the bolted assembly of the elements provided for this purpose.
Why choose a 900 × 2400 mm format rather than a wider one?
This format is particularly suitable for work on long and thin parts (tubes, profiles, elongated frames) that do not require great width. It takes up less floor space than a 1200 mm wide table while offering a comfortable working length.
What is the total surface area of the top?
The top measures 900 × 2400 mm, for a total working surface of 2.16 m².
Is the top really 6 mm thick?
Yes. The top is made of 6 mm thick pickled S235JR steel.
What is the diameter of the holes?
The holes have a diameter of 16 mm and are distributed with a regular spacing of 50 mm.
What clamping accessories can be used?
The table is designed to accommodate accessories compatible with the Ø16 mm system: clamps, stops, squares, presses, pins, and other positioning elements. Check the exact dimensions of the accessories before purchase.
How to properly position the plates on the 6 legs?
The complete table kit is delivered with positioning templates specially cut to fit the square tube of the legs. A first template centers the upper plate, intended to be bolted under the top. A second centers the lower plate, intended to receive the caster.
Why does the table have six legs on a relatively narrow top?
On such a long format (2400 mm), six legs allow for better support distribution along the entire length and limit deflection of the top, even if the width remains compact.
Can the table be equipped with casters?
Yes. Ø155 mm industrial casters with double brakes are offered depending on the chosen configuration. Given the length and weight of the table, handling should always be done by several people and with caution.
Is the table delivered painted?
No. It is delivered in raw pickled steel. Regular protection and maintenance are recommended to limit the appearance of surface oxidation.
Where is the table manufactured?
It is designed, cut, and manufactured by 4A Métal in our workshops in Romilly-sur-Seine, in Aube.
Is delivery possible everywhere in France?
Delivery can be arranged in France and several European countries. Conditions depend on the configuration, weight, volume, and destination address. Given the length of the package (2400 mm), check the access constraints at your delivery address.
